Field Sales Executive - El Paso, TX

Locations: El Paso, TX & Juarez, MX and surrounding area

Why Join Maersk Ground Freight?

Maersk Ground Freight operates one of the largest Specialized LTL networks in the U.S., with over 65+ stations and a strong linehaul backbone, enabling us to deliver thousands of shipments daily to more than 40,000 zip codes.

We specialize in heavy and bulky freight, providing premium services such as in-home delivery, installation, and assembly. Backed by Maersk’s global logistics capabilities, we’re expanding rapidly with new stations, hubs, and career opportunities.

Join a high-performing sales team that’s shaping the future of global trade through scale, service, and innovation.

Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics, with over 100,000 colleagues across 130 countries. We are committed to fostering a workplace that is inclusive, supportive, and growth-oriented, because when our people thrive, our customers do too.

About the Role

The Field Sales Representative US / MX is responsible for driving profitable growth within an assigned territory through new business development, account acquisition, and expansion of Maersk Logistics Services solutions. This is a territory-based hunter role focused on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across the United States and Mexico. The primary focus is small and medium-sized businesses, while also pursuing select larger opportunities that align with the territory strategy and company objectives.

The role represents the full Maersk Logistics Services portfolio, with a focus on growing logistics revenue through:

  • Specialized LTL Asset Network

  • Cross-Border Transportation (US / MX)

  • Freight Forwarding (Air & Ocean)

  • Full Truckload Brokerage

  • Warehousing and Cross-Dock Services

  • Integrated Supply Chain Solutions

This is a KPI-driven sales role measured through both activity and financial performance. Success is achieved through prospecting, face-to-face customer engagement, pipeline development, revenue generation, gross profit growth, and new customer acquisition.

This is not a hand-holding role. The Field Sales Representative is expected to independently manage their territory, prioritize opportunities, develop customer relationships, and execute against performance expectations with minimal supervision.

This is an exciting time to join Maersk as we continue to grow and expand our network through new hubs and facilities. At Maersk Ground Freight, we don’t just move freight; we shape the future of logistics and help our customers reach their markets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on new customer acquisition, pipeline generation, and revenue growth

  • Proactively prospect and secure new business through in-person meetings, outbound outreach, networking, and market development activities

  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline to consistently meet or exceed sales targets

  • Conduct customer discovery to identify supply chain needs and position tailored solutions across transportation, warehousing, cross-border, and international logistics services

  • Sell the full logistics portfolio by aligning solutions to customer objectives and operational requirements

  • Drive face-to-face customer engagement and relationship development to support both new logo acquisition and account expansion

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Pricing, Procurement, and Customer Experience teams to develop and close opportunities

  • Maintain accurate CRM data, including pipeline tracking, activity reporting, and opportunity management

  • Consistently achieve or exceed defined KPIs, including activity levels, pipeline health, revenue, and gross profit targets

  • Operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in a KPI-driven, hunter-style role focused primarily on business development

  • Adapt to evolving business priorities, market conditions, and commercial strategies as directed by the organization

Who We’re Looking For

We recognize that experience comes in many forms. If you don’t meet every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.

  • 4+ years of proven sales success preferred, either in ground transportation logistics or freight forwarding.

  • Strong customer focus with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Analytical and solutions-oriented mindset, particularly with complex supply chain challenges

  • Experience using Salesforce

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary Range: $90,000- $100,000 USD*

  • Commission: Paid quarterly, based on gross profit performance with no cap

  • Car allowance provided to support customer travel needs

  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your eligible dependents, with multiple plan options to fit your needs

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 15 days PTO + 4 floating holidays + 10 paid company holidays

  • 401 (k) Retirement Savings Plan with company match

  • Parental leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave to support you and your family during life’s important moments

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Free and confidential counseling, financial planning, and wellbeing resources

  • Professional Development: Access to in-house training, global learning platforms, and mentorship programs to support career growth

*The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions, experience, and location. Final compensation will be discussed directly with the selected candidate(s) in compliance with all applicable laws.

Travel

  • Daily: Local travel to meet with customers in your territory

  • Occasional: One to two annual meetings requiring overnight travel

  • Flexibility: Manage your own schedule to balance client visits, account development, and team collaboration
