Job Summary

The Driver Helper assists delivery drivers in loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customers. This role ensures timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining safety standards and providing excellent customer service. Driver Helpers do not operate the delivery vehicle but play a critical role in supporting efficient delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading & Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading packages from the delivery vehicle using manual handling or hand trucks.

• Delivery Support: Help deliver packages to customers and obtain signatures when required.

• Navigation Assistance: Provide directions and assist the driver in navigating routes efficiently.

• Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and ensure a positive delivery experience.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety policies and traffic regulations during deliveries.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues (e.g., damaged goods, customer complaints).

• Vehicle Care: Help keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50–70 lbs).

• Strong physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer service experience preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of safety regulations.

• Experience in logistics or delivery roles.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, physically demanding role.

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $21.00*

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
