
Job Description
The Export Documentation Specialist is responsible for managing end to end export documentation activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipping documents, compliance with international trade regulations and delivering exceptional customer service. The role requires close collaboration with customers, internal stakeholders and shipping partners to support operational excellence and business growth.
Key Responsibilities (Export Documentation & Operations)
- Prepare, review, and process export shipping documentation, including: Bill of Lading (BL) / Shipping Instructions (SI) / Commercial Invoice
- Ensure all export documentation is completed accurately and submitted within required timelines.
- Manage document amendments, corrections, and updates as required.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, country SOPs and international trade regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and provide timely resolution of operational exceptions.
- Take ownership of customer issues and drive resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records and data integrity within operational systems.
- Drive operational excellence through KPI measurement, analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
- Actively contribute ideas and initiatives that support process optimization and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer growth and operational scalability.
- Perpetual night shift
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce or related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in Export Documentation, Shipping, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Strong knowledge of export documentation processes and international shipping practices.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, Bills of Lading, Customs requirements and trade compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with Salesforce is considered an added advantage.
