Direct Transport Sales Representative

When you join us as our new Direct Transport Sales Representative, you will manage and develop the local business relationship including performance for all customers interested in standardized products on short(er) sales cycles. You will be based at our office in Oslo.

Your tasks

In the role as Direct Transport Sales Representative - you will:

  • Manage assigned customers agreements and budget base; pursue and secure Existing and New business within the business objectives.
  • Build a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base.
  • Work closely with the local product organization to grow volumes and revenue together.
  • Probe and identify customer Transport/supply chain needs and provide competitive logistics solutions.
  • Communicate significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts.
  • Research and understand the local market and country specific challenges & opportunities to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.
  • Ensure customer relationship management tools are updated in time with quality data (Salesforce)
  • Travel will be required but on an unregular base
  • Have regular days in our office at Lysaker to meet and connect with colleagues.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, we believe you bring the following experiences and competencies:

  • Experience with shipping and logistics and broad knowledge of the market is preferred.
  • Track record of success around closing Customs, Air, LCL, Ocean and Landside business and experience with local decision-making organizations.
  • Understanding of customer requirements and their concerns
  • Service and customer orientation
  • Strong communication skills (written and presentation skills)
  • Independent action as well as an entrepreneurial mindset and commitment
  • Preferably knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools
  • Full professional proficiency in both Norwegian and English
