Job Summary:
Drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives across Maersk's Depots. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics operations, Lean Six Sigma methodology, process improvement methodologies, and change management and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that drive operational safety, quality, efficiency, profitability, hard and soft savings and customer satisfaction.
This role will drive operational excellence by analyzing current processes, designing future-state workflows with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and establishing a sustainable operating cycle framework to support consistent business results and KPI performance across our depot facilities in Romania and Egypt
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze the Area Operations' business processes and make suggestions on how to improve them, with tangible outcomes.
• Support the Area Operations Teams, in defining complementing local metrics to the global KPIs and standards.
• Drive and anchor global initiatives for implementation.
• Project Management Coordination.
• Develop structured continuous improvement strategies. Define what is to be measured, gather, process and analyze the data. Present the information to aid decision making processes. Implement and follow through on the Continuous Improvement Plan.
• Drive out of the box thinking in driving continuous improvement plans. Focus on incremental improvements, process redesign and continuous re-think, to improve efficiencies, eliminate waste and contain costs, across the Operations organization.
• Drive a continuous improvement mindset and culture in Area Operations teams via on-the-job application of LEAN techniques/tools.
• Drive process standardization and ensure adherence across the Area Operations organization (i.e. creation of IOPs & SOPs, RACI) while aligning with relevant stakeholders both in center and area teams
• Continuously align initiatives & manage risks associated with deployment of initiatives, supporting with adopting new tools, processes and guidelines.
• Challenge standardization practice that does not facilitate quality, efficiency and a digitization agenda
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in logistics operations or manufacturing, with a strong track record in process improvement initiatives.
Solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent project management frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
Experience in preparing clear and concise executive summaries, reports, and presentations for senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
