We are looking for a Customs Team Leader to join our Customs Control Tower team in Poland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced people leader with strong customs and logistics knowledge, who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys driving team performance, process excellence and service quality.

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading and developing a team of customs professionals, ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations, building strong stakeholder relationships, and driving continuous improvement across the function.

If you are passionate about leadership, operational performance and creating a strong team culture, this could be a great next step in your career.

What you’ll be doing

As a Customs Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team and creating the right conditions for performance, engagement and service excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of customs professionals in a dynamic operational environment
  • Building a positive, high-performing team culture based on collaboration, accountability and continuous learning
  • Managing team performance through clear objectives, KPIs, regular 1:1s, coaching and feedback

  • Supporting the development of team capability through training, mentoring and ongoing people development initiatives
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure strong service delivery and effective communication
  • Managing escalations and critical operational situations, providing clear recommendations and solutions
  • Ensuring new processes, changes and initiatives are successfully embedded within the team
  • Driving continuous improvement, cost-saving and performance initiatives using data and operational insight
  • Promoting a mindset of quality, process discipline and operational excellence

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a confident and proactive leader who combines people leadership skills with customs and logistics expertise, and who can balance day-to-day operations with longer-term team improvement.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • 2–3 years of leadership experience in an operational environment
  • Strong experience in a customs and logistics setting
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and drive efficiencies
  • Strong analytical skills and an end-to-end process mindset
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams
  • Fluent English with strong communication skills
  • Experience building strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • A highly collaborative approach to leadership
  • A degree or equivalent qualification/certificate
  • A strong quality and process mindset
  • A self-driven, solution-oriented way of working

It would be an advantage if you also have:

  • Previous experience leading customs teams or customs operations
  • Experience in change implementation and operational transformation
  • Exposure to working in large, international or matrix organisations
  • Experience working with remote or cross-border stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of performance reporting and team efficiency management

Why join this role?
