
Job Description
The After-Hours Operations Specialist is responsible for providing operational support outside of standard business hours to ensure seamless cross-border execution. This role monitors and tracks active shipments, reviews documentation for northbound and southbound crossings, and proactively identifies potential service risks.
The position serves as the primary after-hours point of contact for customers, communicating shipment updates, delays, service failures, and any issues that may impact transit times. The role works closely with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve exceptions, maintain shipment visibility, and support a high level of customer service throughout the transportation lifecycle

The role works closely with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve exceptions, maintain shipment visibility, and support a high level of customer service throughout the transportation lifecycle
Customer Experience includes roles that provide services to customers once they are onboarded in the Maersk environment. Activities may include the following (but are not limited to):
- Customer channel management
- Case Management
- Customer onboarding and relationship management
- Contract and dispute management

Administrative stream includes those who primarily support others by performing skilled technical, administrative or operational tasks. The job requires limited job and business knowledge at the time of hiring.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders (commercial, CX, procurement) to ensure smooth execution, continuous improvement, and consistent customer experience.
These below are additional requirements for the position:
- Execute and coordinate cross border ground shipments, ensuring timely pickup, transit, and delivery in line with service level agreements.
- Provide proactive shipment visibility and customer communication, responding to requests promptly and managing critical or high priority loads with accuracy and urgency.
- Manage daily interaction with carriers and vendors, ensuring availability, tracking milestones, and resolving operational issues that may impact service.
- Monitor and control operational performance, identifying risks such as delays or potential line stoppages, and taking immediate corrective action.
