Continuous Improvement Partner
The Continuous Improvement Partner accelerates Safety, Quality, and Cost performance across Area Landside by embedding The Maersk Way and strengthening MOS discipline. The role drives business results by leading CI/LEAN initiatives, solving problems at the source, and coaching teams to execute global standards consistently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities
CI / LEAN Execution
- Lead high-impact CI/LEAN initiatives that improve Safety, Quality, and Cost performance.
- Apply structured problem-solving to eliminate root causes and embed sustainable solutions.
- Validate operational trade-offs to ensure alignment with The Maersk Way, compliance standards, and safety priorities.
- Ensure outcomes, learnings, and value realization are captured, validated, and communicated.
MOS Governance & Operating Discipline
- Ensure MOS routines are current, accurate, and used effectively to manage performance.
- Partner with regional and global CI teams to integrate standards, best practices, and common methodologies.
- Strengthen visual performance management and action closure to support reliable execution.
Coaching & Capability Building
- Coach leaders, frontline teams, and SMEs in The Maersk Way behaviors, CI tools, and structured problem-solving.
- Support onboarding and capability building for new processes, systems, and standards.
- Identify skill and knowledge gaps and partner with operations and SMEs to close them.
Cross-Functional Problem Solving
- Work collaboratively across sites, functions, and countries to troubleshoot operational challenges.
- Ensure solutions are tested, embedded, and scalable across the Area.
- Promote a unified operational culture through collaboration, transparency, and disciplined execution.
Data, Reporting & Performance Insights
- Ensure accurate data flow into global systems to support decision-making.
- Maintain visibility on CI initiative progress, risks, and barriers.
- Provide structured feedback to CI leadership and FPO teams on systemic issues that require escalation.
Required Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years in CI/LEAN, operational excellence, or similar process improvement environments (preferred).
- Demonstrated mastery of Lean methodologies, transformation, and implementation.
- Proven ability to analyze processes, understand stakeholder/customer needs, and redesign workflows for improved outcomes.
- Strong understanding of MOS or similar operating systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office; MS Visio preferred.
- Documented success leading teams through change and facilitating workshops.
- Strong coaching skills with a passion for developing others.
- Ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams and organizational layers.
- Demonstrated alignment with Maersk values and behaviors.
- Ability to travel as required.
Job Type:
Full Time
Salary:
$90,000 - $115,000*
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
