Business Development Executive - Customs
At Maersk, we are expanding our customs services - and we’re looking for a commercially driven sales professional to help us grow.
In this role, you will focus on winning new business and expanding existing customers in customs brokerage services. You will work with mid-sized customers, helping them simplify their import/export processes and stay compliant.
This is a pure individual contributor role focused on growth, sales, and customer impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Identify and develop new customers for customs brokerage services
- Build a strong pipeline and actively pursue opportunities
- Spot upsell opportunities within current accounts
- Introduce additional services such as compliance advisory and duty optimization
- Work on customer tenders and build competitive proposals
- Support pricing discussions and negotiations
- Engage customers to understand their trade flows and challenges
- Turn those insights into practical, value-driven solutions
- Partner with operations, compliance, and product teams
- Ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for new customers
What we’re looking for
- Experience in sales or business development within logistics, freight forwarding, or customs
- Strong commercial mindset and drive to win new business
- Good understanding of import/export processes or customs services
- Ability to build relationships and influence customers
- Proactive, structured, and results-driven approach
