Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented America Equipment Flow Operator to join our team. The America Equipment Flow Operator will be responsible for managing the flow of empty containers to and from various areas in the Americas, ensuring container availability to our customers. This role involves intense coordination with Ocean Fulfilment and Area E&E, aiming to achieve the lowest operational cost while meeting transshipment and volume throughput targets.
Key responsibilities:
Plan Optimal Empty Flow Plans: Develop and implement plans to meet current and future seven-week commercial requirements through close coordination with Ocean Fulfilment and Area E&E.
Drive Forecasting Accuracy: Collaborate with commercial and E&E colleagues to promote awareness of empty positioning costs and improve forecasting accuracy for all equipment types.
Identify and Address Bottlenecks: Recognize bottlenecks in the flow of empty equipment and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
Implement Cost-Saving Initiatives: Work closely with FBPs to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
Optimize Empty Yard Density: Collaborate with Area E&E to reduce longstanding, move out surplus to more cost-efficient locations, and optimize yard density.
Monitor Empty Yard: Co-own the monitoring of empty yards with Area E&E to ensure efficient use of space and resources
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in International Trade, International Business, Engineering, or related fields.
2 years of experience in logistics or shipping industry.
Demonstrated stakeholder management experience with proven leadership skills and a strong ability to influence cross-functional teams to drive results.
Strong planning capabilities complemented by sharp analytical thinking, a collaborative mindset, and a customer-centric.
English proficiency is a must (written and spoken). Portuguese is a plus.
