Accounting Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports.
• Balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Support for internal and external audits.
• Tax recording and validation.
• Month-end close process.
• Monthly accruals.
• Control follow-up and compliance management.
• Fixed asset management.
• Inventory Management.
• Bank Reconciliation.
• Prepayments Management.
• Ensuring that all the General Ledger accounting and Financial / Management Reporting is done in accordance with IFRS and APMM GAP.
• Additional functions may be required according to business area needs.
• ICP Reconciliation.
• IFRS16 Calculation and follow-up.

Required Qualifications

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Years of Experience: 5-7 years’ experience with accounting and reporting.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of local and international financial regulations, financial analysis, and the audit process.
• Experience in control framework and IFRS (added advantage).
• Experienced in creating and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring control follow-up and compliance.
• Experienced in global company and transaction volume management.
• Software: Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, and complex formulas), ERP systems.
• English Level: Advanced (fluent in both written and spoken communication).
