The Role

As our Head of People Operations and Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of our People Ops unit into a modern and agile team. Your strategic vision and hands-on leadership will be instrumental in creating an employee-centric culture, enhancing HR processes, and fostering a high-performance organization.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking People Ops strategy that aligns with LucaNet´s goals and values as well as with recent employment law updates. Lead the development of people operations to be agile, efficient, and responsive to the dynamic needs of the organization.

  • Play an active role in M&A projects to ensure seamless integration of newly acquired companies into the LucaNet Group's Shared Service Centre to provide guidance, support, and optimize workflows for efficient operations while maintaining a high level of service quality.

  • Further develop people operation processes in terms of automation and organization.
  • Own and manage the implementation of a new HRMS, act as system owner and make sure that we are making the best use of it and that colleagues are confident in using it.
  • Managing, supporting, and coaching the People Operations team of People Operation Managers and Assistants.
  • Review and adapt the team’s service delivery structure to meet changing business needs and oversee the service desk administration, optimization and management.
  • Foster strong and effective interfaces and relationships with associated departments e.g. Finance, or Accounting, that ensure smooth and professional cross functional processes (e.g. payroll).
  • Be a strong sparring partner to the whole leadership team, providing excellent reporting and data analytics on all people topics.
  • Ensuring the efficiency and relevance of reporting in terms of content, structure and report regularly on People Operation KPIs and team performance.
  • Collaboratively devise and execute people-focused strategies and initiatives in alignment with the overall organizational goals, fostering a cohesive and inclusive work environment across the LucaNet Group and its acquired entities.

What you bring to the table

  • True passion for people operations and a strong track record as a people operations expert within a fast paced, growth environment. (e.g. Startup, Scale-UP, SME) and leading successful HR initiatives.
  • First leadership experience that allows a flexible management approach: coaching, supporting or guiding for best results in the team.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and efficient work ethic with exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Thrives in environments of constant transformation and change, actively seeks out opportunities for growth and advancement.
  • Deep knowledge in German labor, social security and tax law – knowledge in the entire DACH region or beyond is a plus.
  • Having implemented a complex HRMS before is a big plus.
  • Analytical mindset, KPI driven.
  • Business fluent in German and English.
  • Strong communication and networking skills that allow position owner to get in touch with our international colleagues and partners.
  • Remote possible, but willingness to work from the Berlin HQ regularly is a requirement.
