The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Head of Finance to join our organization. As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company's operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and driving growth through financial analysis and strategic planning. Your strong leadership abilities, financial expertise, and attention to detail will contribute to the organization's overall success.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive long-term growth, profitability, and shareholder value.
- Oversee and manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, analyzing variances and providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analysis on a regular basis to enable executives to make informed decisions promoting financial stability and growth.
- Manage the annual financial audit process, collaborating with external auditors to establish effective auditing procedures, compliance, and timely completion.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and assess funding needs to ensure proper liquidity levels and smooth operations.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to optimize administrative, financial, and operational procedures, establishing effective cost control measures.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team by setting clear objectives, providing ongoing feedback, and implementing talent development initiatives.
- Execute financial due diligence on potential business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring plans.
- Stay updated on industry trends, financial legislation, and technological advancements that may impact the organization's financial strategies.
- Work remotely and/or at one of our locations in Germany.
What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior Finance leadership role, ideally within an international B2B SaaS company.
- Strong understanding of finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling techniques.
- An in-depth knowledge of accounting principles (esp. IFRS) and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.
