Job Description

🙌 The role

Data at Learnerbly

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Learnerbly you’ll be an integral part of the data team, working cross-functionally to ensure that all our projects and initiatives are properly informed. You will be our second dedicated data hire, with a large scope to channel your creativity and passion in a way that is embraced by the business.

Data is at the heart of everything we do, from our Mission Control which steers our company strategy, to our OKR process to confirm that we are on track vs. our goals. As our data visualisation expert, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our BI dashboards. You will own the data, ensuring its consistency and that metrics are understood by your stakeholders across the business. Your dashboards will turn data into information into insight, telling great stories which drives our business forward as we continue to grow and scale.

What you'll be getting up to:

Managing and working across our data stack consists (among others) of;

Fivetran, DBT , Snowflake and Metabase

Your goal is to contribute to the growth of our organisation's data and business intelligence processes, building self-serve dashboards that Create Impact - ones which are actively used and understood!

You will maintain and be responsible for the accuracy of the data in our semantic metric layer, ensuring that our key metrics are defined centrally so that there is one consistent version of truth. A common language and definition is vital for our continued success, and means that our Revenue, Growth and Operation teams all understand our growth pipeline and the impact that has on their responsibilities.

You will work very closely with your colleagues in the business, including Customer Success, Product and Marketplace, getting to understand their needs to tailor the reporting and insights to solve problems.

You will create training materials to support the understanding and consumption of your dashboards, supporting your colleagues to make the most from your work.

You will support our Data Lead with Data Transformations to create analytics ready tables for the wider business to consume. For example, one core focus will be on joining up all our customer touch points from sources like Hubspot, Mixpanel and Intercom to build a single customer view.

Your work will ensure that less time is spent on manually processing data for one off reports, with more time to drive value and insights.

Research shows that some people are less likely to apply for a role unless they are 100% qualified. Your experience, skills and passion will set you apart so tell us about your achievements, irrespective of whether they are personal or work-related, tell us about your journey, and about what you learnt.
So, if this role excites you, don't let our role description hold you back, get applying!

🧩 This role will be a great fit if:

You have a deep interest and passion for data analytics, data insight, business intelligence and informational story telling

You have 3-5 years experience in using data visualisation tools - Metabase, Looker, Tableau or similar

You are proactive and love to explore, embracing the freedom to find meaning and purpose from within the data to questions the business had not thought to ask for.

You have intermediate SQL knowledge (think windows functions, subqueries, aggregate functions, Common Table Expressions (CTEs))

You are able to present information and data in an engaging way that drives and influences operational performance. Your expertise will result in a reduction of inbound ad hoc requests, and weekly BI minutes consumed by our teams.

You have a curious mindset and understand how to arm others with the data and insight they need to drive impact, action and change

You have experience in Web/Product Analytics, and can use tools like Mixpanel and Google Analytics to uncover insights in user behaviour

You have built visualisation to track and understand the Sales pipeline, either focusing on subscription sales or product sales. We currently use Hubspot as our CRM and Chargebee for our subscription management.

🚀 It'd be a bonus if:

You have direct experience with DBT and Snowflake, or equivalent data transformation tools and warehouses

You have experience with Python/R for in depth data analysis

You have experience in delivering training sessions on how to get the most of our data

You have worked in a high growth SaaS environment in the past, and have worked using Objective Key Results (OKRs).
