Job Description

Who are we?

Ki is the biggest global insurance tech company you’ve never heard of, unless you’ve been looking to insure a satellite, wind farm or music festival recently.
We launched in 2021 on the back of a fundraise that delivered $500m of investment, making us one the largest fintech start-ups that year. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. Having written over $400m of GWP in 2021, we have continued to rapidly scale, with 200% YoY growth to end of June 2022. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers cover risks in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and that’s where you come in - we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities. If helping us transform a multi-billion global industry sounds exciting to you, read on.

What you will be working on

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manger to own the roadmap for the technology that powers our decision making – the algorithm. In this role you will help shape the direction of Ki’s algorithm capabilities and ensure that this is tied to tangible business outcomes by liaising closely with stakeholders and building strong relationships across the business. You’ll need to harness your own skills and those of the squad to creatively derive solutions to unique challenges, many of which are yet to be solved in insurance.

You will work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and algorithm engineers to build pioneering technology and capabilities that assess risk and manage our portfolios – both of which are critical to Ki’s long-term success.

As an effective communicator you will work across and manage a wide a range of stakeholders employing effective product discovery to chart a path to delivery, prioritise your squads workstack while ensuring the process has been collaborative and clear to others. You will also ensure that the product strategy dovetails with the broader algorithm, underwriting and technology horizons.

Working across the wider product management community you will engage openly with the broader Product organisation to identify opportunities for cross-benefit and mitigate against dependencies where possible.
You will be able to articulate the commercial value of the roadmap both in terms of how Ki operates and the market opportunity we're seeking to capitalise on, to communicate the value of the work we do.

Finally you will support product delivery through encouraging effective delivery by practicing and advocating for Product/Engineering best-practice inside and outside the squad. As a rule, we employ the Scrum framework at Ki.

Our culture

Inclusion & Diversity is at the heart of our business at Ki. We recognise that diversity in age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, thought and social background bring richness to our working environment. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, or who you love, we believe you should be you.

You’ll get a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package. This is kept under constant review to make sure it stays relevant. We understand the power of saying thank you and take time to acknowledge and reward extraordinary effort by teams or individuals.
If this sounds like a role and a culture that appeals to you, let us know.
