About the Role:
Join The Information Lab as a BI Consultant and spearhead transformative projects using Microsoft BI tools like Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and Power Platform. Responsibilities:
As a BI Consultant, you will be responsible for interpreting business requests and requirements and translating them into visually appealing and informative outputs, summarising data and presenting results in Microsoft Power Platform.
Your role is to capture user requirements, design, build, test and implement BI Solutions for business colleagues. In this role you will work as required with TIL colleagues (Service Delivery Managers & Data Engineers) & external client stakeholders.
You’ll collaborate heavily with business areas to understand and deliver on their reporting and BI needs.
Expectation to upskill on other tools and systems, including non-Microsoft platforms
Duties:
Develop and maintain Power BI / Microsoft Fabric solutions including data pipelines, dataflows, datasets and reports
Collaborate with external clients to gather requirements and design data visualisations
Transform data into meaningful insights and present them in a clear and concise manner
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data and visualisations
Stay up-to-date with new Microsoft BI features and recommend improvements to existing solutions
Communicating working progress clearly to external clients and internal Service Delivery Managers
Provide support and guidance to team members on their upskilling journey
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have relevant work experience with the Microsoft BI stack and Power Platform
Recent relevant qualifications in Power Platform
PowerBI Data Analyst (PL-300), PowerPlatform Fundamental (PL-900)
Demonstrable skill with Microsoft PowerBI, including PowerQuery / M, DAX, PowerBI Enterprise Gateway and Workspace Administration
Demonstrable skill with Microsoft PowerPlatform, including PowerAutomate and PowerApps
Visual Design, Data Storytelling – effectively ensuring that data is easily interpretable by stakeholders
Nice to have:
Recent qualifications in Azure
Azure Data Fundamentals (AZ-900), Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure (DP203)
Knowledge of additional areas of MS Fabric and Azure such as Synapse Data Warehouse, Data Lake Storage and SQL
Knowledge of Snowflake
Knowledge of Python
Prior exposure to Tableau (not an essential)
Prior exposure to Alteryx (not an essential)
