The Role

As part of the solutions team, the Marketing Technology Specialist delivers a range of projects both directly with clients and in a support capacity via our internal delivery teams. These projects will primarily consist of implementing and maintaining tracking and performance monitoring technology for a variety of marketing and analytics platforms. The role requires a strong understanding of web technology and marketing platforms to ensure our performance teams are empowered with high quality data for both reporting and ad optimisation.

Who are you?

To be considered for the Marketing Technology Specialist role at Impression, you will need to have:

  • Good understanding of digital marketing channels
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics
  • Good working knowledge of javascript and using regular expressions
  • Good understanding of web tech (eg. HTML, cookies, servers, clients, APIs)
  • Experience with CMSs such as Wordpress, Shopify, Magento etc.
  • Experience navigating digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, GSC etc etc.)
  • Team work & collaboration Commercial awareness

What will you be doing?

  • Implementing tracking technology using tag management solutions such as Google Tag Manager
  • Setup and maintenance of clients analytics platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Using innovative methods of data collection such as offline conversion tracking
  • Utilising the latest tracking technology such as server side tracking, consent mode and enhanced matching
  • Supporting paid media teams in implementing and debugging conversion tracking
  • Running analytics audits and producing analytics health checks Creating reporting dashboards using
  • Google Data Studio Managing and maintaining internal ETL platform (Adverity)
  • Manage both internal and external stakeholders expectations
  • Contribute to the evolution of our service offering through process improvement and keeping up to date with the latest analytics and tracking tech
  • Supporting our marketing team through blogging, guest posting and writing whitepapers
  • Running analytics training sessions to ensure a strong baseline knowledge across the teams
