Job Description
đ You will need to be in our London HQ, E1 3 days a week, the other two days are flexible - you are welcome in the office but can be remote too, thats up to you!
Goodlordâs mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world and weâre on the hunt for a Finance Assistant , reporting to our Finance Manager, to help us achieve this.
No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what youâll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and youâll need to be comfortable with this (weâll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.
The day to day stuff:
- Managing and monitoring accounts receivable and/or accounts payable
- Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Monthly billings
- Processing employee expenses
- Dealing with customer, supplier & internal queries
- Other ad hoc projects
About you
You should apply if you have:
- You have been doing similar work in a finance department for at least two years
- You already have some experience of reconciliations
- You may have some experience of preparing month end journals / worksheets
- You are comfortable working in Excel and Microsoft Office or Google Sheets
- Youâre amazing with numbers
- Youâre a great communicator and can build effective relationships with everyone - communicate to all stakeholders, internal & external
- Youâre super organised and have proven your ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
- Youâre proactive and diligent with a willingness to âroll up your sleevesâ, and the persistence to follow issues through to completion
- Youâre constantly trying to improve things and confident to ask questions and deep dive
- Have a strong work ethic and are a self-starter
- An eye for detail and commitment to quality are your superpowers
- Youâre resilient to change, flexible and adaptable
About us
We started Goodlord because we wanted to make renting simple and transparent for everyone involved: the agent, landlord and tenant. We knew generation rent would lead to more tenants, with higher digital expectations and we were confident we could provide a solution.
