đź“Ť Hybrid working as standard - 2-3 days a week in the office (you can choose either our London or Sheffield office as your base location, whichever is closest) the 2-3 other days are up to you - remote/wfh, office, the choice is yours
About the Role
Goodlord’s mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world and we’re on the hunt for a Data & Insights Manager to help us achieve this.
We are looking for someone who really understands the importance of data, geeks out on data and is not afraid to show it, who will help drive and embed a data-driven culture within goodlord.
No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.
The day to day stuff:
- Provide leadership for our data team, and lead/contribute to our data environment strategy
- Creating data roadmaps and a data delivery approach by prioritising dashboards and insights that provide the greatest value to the company
- Defining and implementing best practice, essential processes, removing barriers, and sourcing data from all areas of the organisation in support of critical business challenges and/or decisions.
- Conceiving, planning and prioritising data projects
- Aligning data projects with organisational goals
- Leading and mentoring data analysts
- Manipulate data into easily understandable visualisations and communicate the findings to other technical and non-technical teams across departments
- Designing & building new data models, managing data pipelines
- Support other departments for data ad hoc queries
- Support the data team with regular month end reporting
- Ability to deliver analysis and other output that meets agreed timescales
About You
You should apply if you:
- Experience of previously leading a team of analysts
- Experience of efficient, robust ETL and data architecture design & management
- Experience of designing data needs at project design phase
- Significant commercial experience as a data analyst working with data teams, ideally focused on work in or around data including Google Big Query, Azure Cosmos db and Airflow
- Strong SQL skills, being able to write complex queries
- Experience of working in Tableau or similar BI tool with ability to present data with end user in mind.
- Detailed analytical skills
- Commercial experience with stakeholders and product managers
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Adaptable to changing priorities and be enthused by fresh challenges
