IT Support / Desktop Support Analyst (EUC Engineer)

Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for a 2nd Line IT Support Analyst to work as part of the service desk / end user computing team in a fast-paced environment in the City.

You will be the first point of contact helping users with queries and provide technical support to both remote and onsite users. You will be supporting both hardware and software including laptops, MFDs, telephony, and AV in our meeting rooms. This role will fit someone with 4+ years of IT support experience along with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Starting ASAP, paying up to £40,000 per annum with a generous pension and excellent benefits.

Main duties:

  • Logging, assigning and resolving incidents, requests and problems to agreed service levels
  • Providing 1st line/2nd line support via the telephone, email, MS Teams and face to face
  • Diagnose hardware and software faults and escalate to other teams where appropriate.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software applications.
  • Create and update knowledge articles, department documentation and procedures.
  • Support the IT Asset Management procedures to control the software and hardware assets

Your profile:

  • Previous experience in a service desk / desktop support role
  • Experience of supporting users remotely and face to face
  • Experience of supporting hardware including workstations, laptops, and printers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Azure, Windows 10 and SCCM
  • Experience of using ITSM / Helpdesk tools
  • Knowledge of networking technologies both wired and wireless would be advantageous
  • Strong fault finding / problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Great customer service skills
