Video Editor (Contract Position)

Job Description

Your Mission

To assist the in-house video production with video editing across all filmed content and some tutorials. If they have film set experience or knowledge of shooting content, that's a bonus. This role will be a 6 - 9 month contract.

Salary band: £30,000 - 35,000 gross per year (UK based salary)

What your day-to-day will look like with us

  • Working on video production processes including conceptualisation, storyboarding, scheduling, filming, and mostly video editing
  • Thinking creatively to edit and assemble final visual/audio creative material; ensures consistency and relevance to production; monitors the technical quality of final video
  • Create highly engaging videos for a diverse array of media, but mainly to support courses
  • Take initiative on projects to deliver new and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with the video production lead and colleagues to support larger media goals.
  • Make educated design decisions on best practices
  • Contribute creative solutions to briefs, storyboards, video edits and push for the very best and most impressive outcome
  • Ensure adherence to all video best practices and fundamentals
  • Select appropriate audio, graphic and animation styles
  • Manage personal workload to ensure all deadlines are met effectively across multiple projects
  • Keep abreast of advancements in new technologies and techniques, contemporary trends in production and sound design to deliver cutting edge work

Requirements

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Skilled in using video editing tools (preferably Adobe Premiere Pro), colour grading and sound editing
  • Your own computer that can edit/render 4k footage
  • Film set experience (nice to have)

Qualifications

  • Storyboarding skills
  • Post-production skills including - Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
