Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

We are seeking an Accounting Director in our San Francisco Corporate office who is ready to jump in and help our fast-growing business grow even faster. The Accounting Director will be an important member of the Corporate Finance / Accounting team and a “go-to” person for accounting operations, technical accounting, month-end close, international accounting, and compliance filing.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Accounting: Analyze complex technical accounting issues and draft accounting white papers on various technical accounting issues such as M&A transactions, convertible debt, warrants, etc.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and related compliance. Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls and safeguard company assets.
  • International Accounting: Guide local accounting teams and lead continuous process improvement and system integration projects
  • Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional develop.
  • Strategic Planning: Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Financial Systems & Technology: Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and technology solutions to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and improve data accuracy. Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in accounting and finance technology.

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • BS in Finance or Accounting
  • 10+ years of combined experience in both public accounting and industry
  • “Big 4” Audit experience
  • Solid system experience, including NetSuite implementation, expense/AP system integration, system control gap analyses and remediation, etc.
  • Strong US GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Excellent ability to analyze problems, think critically for solutions
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity effectively, oversee multiple projects at once follow-through on commitments
  • Ability to work productively in a dynamic environment and solutions-oriented

Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Industry experience of Accounting Senior Manager and above - Highly Preferred
  • Experience working with international teams - Preferred
  • Experience working in a high-growth company - Preferred
  • This is a ‘roll-your-sleeves-up’ type role

Compensation: The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:$162,000—$226,000 USD
