Job Description
Would you like to help Flash Pack build 1 million meaningful friends across the globe using the power of travel? If that sounds exciting and social media is your thing, then this role might be for you.
We’re looking for a Social & Community Executive to join our growing Marketing team, focusing on owning our organic social channels, and supporting our on and offline community efforts. With a thriving social media base and community of Flashpackers, this role is crucial in helping engage with them to aid our mission.
You’ll be working alongside our in-house creative team and supported by our wider marketing team. While we have a clear social strategy in place, we’d expect you to review, refine and evolve it, looking for opportunities to expand our online presence where it makes sense. You’ll also be supporting our Community Lead with our on and offline communities and regularly get in close contact with our customers.
What you’ll do:
- Own day-to-day management of our social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube
- Over time, develop on and expand our existing organic social strategy with the support of the wider marketing team
- Ideate, develop and brief thumb-stopping social content across all platforms, working with our in-house design and videography team to bring social-first, FOMO-inducing ideas to life
- Ensure our mission and brand values are at the heart of all content produced
- Write, edit and proofread short-form and long-form posts
- Support our social communities across channels, working with our Customer Experience and Sales teams where necessary
- Expand this community through owned channels, and consistently engage users who are already part of the Flash Pack community
- Report on the success of this activity against your KPIs
- Identify and engage relevant creators (including photographers and videographers) for social content and manage these relationships
- Refine our UGC sourcing strategy to make it as effective and scalable as possible
- Support our Community Lead with on and offline community moderation, insights work, events, and memberships
The ideal candidate:
- Is on top of current and upcoming social trends, and understands how to incorporate them into strategy
- Is comfortable producing short and long form copy, and can share examples of these for a variety of audiences and platforms
- Can collaborate well with other creative professionals to supply our social channels with premium content assets
- Is able to multitask and have strong organization skills — managing content calendars, sourcing UGC, and working across teams comes naturally to you
- Has experience in the Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere Pro
- Is familiar with Google Analytics and key content metrics, and comfortable giving context to numbers
The nice-to-haves:
- Being a keen traveller and regularly posting content to own channel is a huge plus!
Sound good?
Then join our mission to create one million friendships through group adventure – and a friendly and energetic global team on the cusp of worldwide expansion.
