Job Description

The company:

Flash Pack creates boutique group adventures for solo travellers aged 30-49.

We launched in 2014 to disrupt outdated clichés associated with group tours and empower a new generation of bold, energetic solo travellers. This untapped demographic had not only been underserved by the travel industry but misunderstood.

We quickly transformed into a high-growth, mid-stage start-up connecting Flashpackers in over 15 global markets.

Our mission is to create one million friendships through the power of group adventure. To reignite human connection and bring like-minded solo travellers in their 30s and 40s back together, on luxurious, authentic adventures, packed with hard-to-do-by-yourself experiences, that create lasting friendships. In fact, 80% of Flashpackers already stay in touch. And over 60% now come from outside the UK, bringing with it the potential for sustainable but rapid growth.

International demand for solo travel is booming and Flash Pack is here to lead the charge of a growing global movement. To fulfil this mission, we’re expanding our team with some of the best talent around. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll do:

You will be the first member of our newly created outbound sales function under the leadership of our Head Of Sales. There is no blueprint here, you will be working hand in hand with our head of sales testing potential opportunities in the market to drive enquiries and ultimately bookings.

Develop and Execute Partnership Strategy:

Lead the execution of a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expand our US user base.

You will do this by:

- Pitching and partnering with businesses across multiple sectors as well as HR tech companies. The goal is to successfully integrate Flash Pack as an enticing partly subsidized employee perk.

- Pitching and partnering with credit card companies, OTAs, memberships clubs etc. The goal is to successfully integrate Flash Pack experiences as a perk for their customers.

Develop and Execute Travel Agent Partnership Strategy:

Lead the execution of a comprehensive partnership strategy with corporate and independent travel agents.

You will do this by:

- Building a pipeline and pitching prospective travel agents across the world to persuade them to use Flash Pack as a preferred partner for their clients.

The ideal candidate:

- We're looking for an individual who can hit the ground running, demonstrating a positive impact by driving partnership revenue. Go-getter attitude with a genuine passion for solution selling.

- Your capabilities extend to a comprehensive understanding of the commercial economics inherent in our business model. This expertise enables you to negotiate and secure partnerships that are mutually beneficial, creating a win-win scenario for both Flash Pack and our esteemed partners.

- You must have at least 4 years of sales or/and partnership experience in a high-growth start-up, ideally in the travel industry. This is excluding any experience as an SDR, account manager, customer success manager, or Brand Partnerships role. We are looking for pure outbound partnership/sales/ business development experienced professionals.

- A strategic thinker you’ll be brimming with innovative and creative ways to win new business. You’ll be able to produce and deliver high-quality, creative, bespoke propositions for prospective partners.

- Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to run with a challenge but ask for help when needed. Experience working in an environment where autonomy is central to your role is crucial.

- Generating leads: cold calling and opening doors. You will also be given a budget to test outsourcing lead generation.

- Leading pitches; from understanding the client’s objectives to pitching Flash Packs’ USPs, objection handling and closing the deal.

- Working closely with the inbound sales team and the marketing team to maximise opportunities.

- You must be open to travel occasionally to travel fairs & conferences

The nice-to-haves:

- Experience partnering with the HR & employee benefits executives.

- Experience partnering with corporate travel agents

What’s in it for you?
