THE ROLE
Is based in Portugal but runs the payroll for the UK. The role will involve extensive collaboration with People Ops peers in every Farfetch office, who will partner to design and deliver a Farfetcher globally consistent employee experience. It will also include working with a wide range of stakeholders, including Farfetchers, Contractors, Talent Acquisition, People Partners, Benefits Team and Total Rewards members.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will manage the end-to-end process for People administration through the employee life cycle, including all the necessary legal proceedings for onboarding and offboarding;
  • Administrative management of hiring during pre-boarding and onboarding, contract renewals and exit processes. This includes capturing areas of opportunity and feeding them back into an ongoing process improvement agenda;
  • Data Maintenance: providing administrative support, including maintaining personnel files, and accuracy in Workday;
  • Monitor and manage queries in the centralized People Team mailbox related to payroll and documentation within agreed-upon internal timeframes;
  • Ensure all audit and legal requirements and reports are available for compliance;
  • Continuously improve People Team processes by identifying challenges and recommending opportunities for process and experience enhancements;
  • Support broader People Operations projects, where cross-team and cross-functional collaboration is required;

WHO YOU ARE

  • Someone with attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks;
  • Creative thinker and passionate problem solver, able to challenge the status quo and drive continuous process improvement;
  • Knowledge of Labor Law in the UK (mandatory);
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel) and WorkDay;
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of relevant UK legislation and other local regulations;
  • Strong people skills, and ability to communicate and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.

As a People Operations Support Specialist, you will be part of the People Operations team. This newly consolidated global function is responsible for supporting the Farfetcher lifecycle, from pre-boarding to offboarding and key milestones in between. Reporting directly to the Payroll Lead, you will help facilitate and enhance specific people processes that drive the integrity of our Head Count Management as the source of truth for all people-related information, especially payroll.
