THE ROLE Reporting directly into the Localisation Lead - LATAM Spanish you will be responsible for sub-editing marketing content transcreated and localised by our team of writers. You will ensure that our copy is customer-centric, effective and tailored across all Farfetch channels, whilst capturing and protecting the Farfetch tone of voice.
Proven experience writing and sub-editing digital content is essential, as is having a sound understanding of the luxury e-commerce landscape in the LATAM Spanish market. To succeed in this role, you must have a firm grasp of the LATAM Spanish language, with focus in Mexico. You’ll benefit from working with a large multi-lingual team of around 120+ employees within Farfetch, which will present unique opportunities to interact with a wide range of departments and to learn cutting-edge localisation tools and solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will be sub-editing and proofing our content, with a focus on brand & marketing copy, including, but not limited to, editorial, emails, advertisements and social posts
  • You could be copywriting and transcreating editorial features and marketing content on an ad-hoc basis
  • You will work closely with our team members to ensure all copy follows our Tone of Voice and Style Guide across all channels and all verticals
  • You are responsible for ensuring all content reaches our Quality Standard
  • You will establish routines and standards for the team, including reporting, feedback and other quality checks
  • You are responsible for evolving the language within the business
  • You will assist to deliver copy audits or key projects as required
  • You will conduct training and onboard new starters
  • You’ll assist in new Tone of Voice development

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are highly proficient writing in LATAM Spanish (Mexico) and have a good level of fluency in English
  • You have a firm understanding of tone of voice, with an ability to adapt style to suit specific context
  • You have excellent attention to detail and impeccable grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • You have some experience training others upon best practices and giving thoughtful feedback to writers
  • You have proven experience setting up processes and quality checklists
  • You have good knowledge of the luxury fashion e-commerce landscape in the LATAM Spanish market, its players and its consumers
  • You have been within a translation, copywriting and editorial roles -a linguistics graduate with a passion to move their career into fashion will also be considered
  • You are comfortable with digital work on an in-house CMS
