THE ROLEReporting to the Product Design Manager of one of FPS’s verticals, this role is for an experienced designer with experience working within a diverse and international team. You are expected to have a knowledge of design methods and practices to help the team understand and make sense of their customer's needs and behaviors. As well as shaping and crafting products and features, we want you to use your knowledge to help us develop the capability and expertise across the entire design discipline. We want designers who can identify and share good practices across teams and will improve them. We look for designers who want to help raise up and develop those around them, and who can approach work with a clear intent and then afterward reflect upon the effectiveness. You can demonstrate credibility amongst your team, and the wider organization. You should have a deep working experience in both web and app, with a portfolio of examples that demonstrate your experience with end-to-end product design. You will get the opportunity to work on a variety of products for multiple brands and stakeholders across the FPS platform.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • End-to-end product design, taking responsibility for all aspects of your projects - from the first sketch through to implementation, you’ll drive all stages of the design process, being the face of FPS Design for both internal and external stakeholders;
  • You'll work in partnership with the product, data, and engineering teams to ensure that your designs are delivered at a high standard and within technical requirements, whilst still being the voice of the customer;
  • You'll work with the team to establish the problem space and desired customers outcomes;
  • You'll help determine the hierarchy of user needs for the design project, making sure that when customers use your product the experience is consistent with the brand;
  • You'll facilitate workshops to help align intent and understanding of business and customer goals, distilling and sharing this with other teams;
  • You'll help the team discover potential design routes by going broad and wide, creating prototypes to help the team build better products and features for our customers;
  • You will present your work and designs to both internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions by being the voice of the customer.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design;
  • Proficient with each stage of the design process (eg. research, wireframing, interaction design, visual design, prototyping);
  • You can present a portfolio of user-centered work that showcases your problem-solving skills and attention to detail for complex projects;
  • You take full ownership of your work, work well autonomously, and you take responsibility for every last detail;
  • You are a confident, clear communicator (both verbal and written) who can create the right narrative to share your ideas;
  • You love to learn and are constantly looking for opportunities to grow yourself and your impact;
  • You have extensive experience working with product teams;
  • You have excellent collaboration skills;
  • Experience working on complex products and projects is valuable to this role;
  • Experience working within an agency, a platform business, E-commerce, or online retail is valuable to this role.
