Product Manager - Purchase Journey

Job Description

Our teams work on the end-to-end product lifecycle; from understanding the motivations and needs of our customers and partners to designing and testing hypotheses, to creating industry-leading experiences for luxury shoppers, sellers, and service providers. We set our Product vision and achieve our strategy in close partnership with teams across the business. Since we put our customers in the center of all we do in Product at Farfetch, the product manager is the primary expert and advocate of our customers.
This role will live inside of Consumer Products Product area, where you will promote product strategy and definition by translating customer needs and goals into business and product requirements to the evolution of our customer-facing channels: Farfetch website and apps.

What You´ll Do

  • Identify who users are and what their needs are, based on research and insights by engaging customer research to identify concepts and opportunities.
  • Create shared context and understanding of user needs within the development team and guide the team to identify and solve user problems.
  • Translate user needs to user stories and ensure that development meets/exceeds user needs and is of a high quality. Develop and maintain in-depth market knowledge in the domain area and identify market opportunities or product gaps. Partner with design to develop designs that meet customer needs and solutions.
  • Identify assumptions and risks. Foster testing and learning incrementally and use experimentation to gain insights. Share and build on insights.
  • Create business cases for customer opportunities and feature development within your domain.
  • Distill the domain vision and strategy to your engineering partners ensuring all team members embrace and champion the vision.
  • Effectively prioritise against multiple factors, balancing development between new, iteration and maintenance, fixing issues. Prioritise defined tasks based on effort, impact, user needs, and business goals.
  • Provide visibility via sharing and syncs with business partners and product peers.
  • Create a monthly commitment of roadmap with engineering leads. Scope, define, and create domain team backlogs, with clear goals for their remit and tracking capabilities.
  • Guide the rollout of new features and capabilities. Measuring and supporting customer and business partner adoption.
  • Define and measure the success of the initiatives that it leads through experimentation techniques or similar. Track performance of health metrics and conclusions from qualitative and quantitative data, partnering with product analytics.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in product management or similar role;
  • Experienced in understanding and handling customer needs and problems;
  • Experienced in shaping a product roadmap based on partner needs, research, data, and industry trends;
  • Experience in consumer-facing digital products (websites, apps, …) or platform products;
  • Experienced in working with large and demanding companies;
  • Proficiency in English.

We are looking for a Product Manager who will be reporting to the Senior Head of Product, and work inside of Marketplace Product Development area, promoting product strategy and definition by translating customer needs and goals into business and product requirements to the evolution of our customer-facing channels: Farfetch website and apps. Working with design, engineering, QA, analytics, and other experience or platform product peers, you will mainly focus on Purchase Experience (pre-purchase and post-purchase) where we're providing our customers with the tools and information they need to complete an order successfully.
