CREATIVE OPERATIONSWe're a creative family, building copy, data and visual assets for each corner of the FARFETCH Ecommerce Platform. We are dedicated to providing gold standard imagery, content and production services for our partners and creating an engaging on-site experience for our customers.
GUIMARÃESOur Guimarães office is located in the beautiful and historic city known as the ‘birthplace of Portugal’. Here you'll find a custom-built office, a studio facility with a game room, music area and an unbeatable chill out zone with a hammock that fits up to 20 people!
THE ROLEReporting to the Studios Manager and working closely with the Art Directors, the Photography Specialist is responsible for supporting and coaching the live model and Allure photographers to achieve a high standard in quality and volume, to build the online catalogue for our brands. They should guarantee the work methodologies of the teams to ensure alignment across the various studios.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support the photography team to produce high quality Ecommerce imagery, respecting the high-quality standards and KPI's;
• Support the Art Directors and Studios Manager to interpret and implement the FARFETCH Creative vision, to develop photography and Art Direction guidelines (used by the studio team in shooting all Live Model and Allure);
• Test new initiatives and direct a team of photographers to deliver on brief;
• Create a training plan for the photography team and prepare them to adapt to new techniques;
• Perform monthly Quality reviews with the Photographers;
• Identify and suggest improvements and help coordinating their implementation in close collaboration with the Process & Tech Team;
• Motivate the photography team to be experimental with detail shots, encouraging them to identify and make the most out of each product's unique selling points (USP's);
• Be a facilitator of quick wins & specification implementations;
• Collaborate with the Deputy Styling Editors & Trainers, producing learning content and facilitating workshops;
• Implement new strategies for constant improvement of studio production teams;
• Support trainers with new work methodologies;
• Works successfully within a close, collaborative team environment and must exhibit professional conduct consistent with the values of the Company.

WHO YOU ARE

• Experience in photography, gained in both editorial and Ecommerce environments with technical knowledge in photography, lighting and Art Direction;
• Portfolio in digital photography with visual composition and proportion;
• A follower of creative ideas and briefs;
• Ability to work with targets, ensuring creative solutions are commercially viable without compromising on the quality and aesthetic;
• Motivated to coach team members, offering feedback on-the-run and impact quality in real time;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English is mandatory);
• Strong organizational skills;
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Macintosh based equipment within a network environment;
• Regular user of IT systems (MS Office) and image editing/management (Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, FTP, Lightroom);
• Great time management skills, being able to work under tight deadlines;
• Able to suggest/ improve imagery following photography/design trends.
