THE ROLEOff-White is looking for a Materials R&D Coordinator, Accessories, to join the Leathergoods/Accessories Product Office and support the Product and Creative team in successfully managing the development process from initial concept to finished product. Responding to the Product Manager, Accessories, s/he will support in taking designs from initial idea to execution.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Research, plan, and support in the management of raw materials (leather, fabric, semi-finished)
- from a technical, timeline and cost point of view, for both Men's and Women's collections.
- Work closely with other members of the design and product development team according to seasonal structure to lead to on time delivery of raw material.
- Be the point of contact with leading raw material suppliers on all product development project.
- Source new materials/suppliers based on the Brand's requirements.
- Sign off of the production standard (masters) of each material and manage any counter-sourcing of raw materials when needed.
- Support for back office activities (for ex: master archive).
- Support in the management of raw material orders ensuring costs and quality are in line with the budget and brand identity
- Complete technical product data sheets
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion design or similar is preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Tools – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Excellent knowledge and use of Adobe suite – Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign
- Good knowledge and use of PLM systems
- Fluent in English written and spoken, this will be tested in the interview process
- Multitasker, who is accurate and pays close attention to detail
- Problem solver with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized, flexible with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced everchanging environment
