THE ROLEPositioned in the Creative Development team within the wider Global Creative Operations team, the Image Development Manager will be responsible for leading a small team whose core purpose is to manage the development and quality guardianship of e-commerce imagery sequencing on Farfetch.com.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Owner of global imagery standards across all e-commerce imagery sources by ensuring all global imagery guidelines up to date and continuously evolve through continuous creative improvement across fashion, still life product and vendor provided imagery;
  • Collaborate with global studio facilities to ensure guidelines take in account feedback for best user experience;
  • Be the quality and consistency gatekeeper for the onboarding of all new vendor provided imagery partnerships in accordance to farfetch.com brand DNA;
  • Be a stakeholder in creative development imagery projects including AI, 3D and new technologies to ensure an effective and efficient link between creative testing and post production;
  • Lead, inspire, mentor and challenge a team of Image Development Specialists providing support on the day to day management of the Image Development team’s core responsibilities and nurturing the team culture and enthusiasm;
  • Work closely with the wider creative team and cross functional teams such as UX, Product Design, Commercial, Marketing to ensure the development of new projects and overall website cohesion in translation;
  • Work closely with Photographic and Post Production SMEs on any opportunities or issues arising from the day to day delivery of studios adhering to imagery guidelines;
  • Host retrospectives to review areas of improvement and drive for creative progression;
  • Constantly visual research, understand the market, identify trends and innovation, benchmark competitors and inspire the wider team with best-in-class examples of in 'digital/e-commerce first';
  • Cultivate a test-and-learn culture within the team, ensuring everyone can contribute to how we improve the marketplace.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Meticulous and strong eye for detail;
  • Technically sound in photographic and post production methodologies;
  • Strong eye for quality, consistency and visual language;
  • Strong understanding of fashion/fashion brands;
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, with influencing skills to advocate and promote initiatives for quality guardianship between senior leadership, peers and junior members alike;
  • Aware of the end to end imagery production process at scale, in order to put scalable imagery development opportunities into action;
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to work with both creative and operational profiles alike;
  • Possesses a passion for solving customer problems and developing creative solutions for them;
  • Creativity and commercial focused, curious to understand the performance behind the images;
  • Process driven.
