Job Description

New Guards Group is currently looking for a Head of Retail to manage its directly operated stores in Europe and US for Palm Angels and County of Milan. You will report to the Business Development Director and you will be responsible of developing sales strategies and objectives for all retail stores of the two brands, ensuring sales and markets growth according to the company principles and guidelines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Drive business development and expansion strategies (from opening to daily management) understanding and constantly monitoring local business environment including market trends and competitors
  • Implement strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and define actions to support business needs, developing opportunities for growth
  • Draw up monthly sales reports, analyze and maximize sales results and kpis within the network, in line with the brands’ targets, and propose action plans
  • Provide management and guidance for the Store Managers. Conduct regular store visits and interact with store teams and stakeholders to establish effective and strong relationships
  • Supervise the Retail Buying team. Participate in buying sessions working with the merchandising team to customize assortment for each store’s local clientele and market
  • Supervise the Retail Operations team as well as all Retail Ops activities (cash management, inventories, stock management… )
  • Discover and explore business opportunities, screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies and deal requirements
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting and expense related activities
  • Work in partnership with HR on FTEs planning, recruitment and on all employee-related issues
  • Ensure that all the processes are in compliance with legal, safety, security, HR guidelines
  • Lead and coordinate with the departments involved the new openings, the maintainance and refurbishment of stores

WHO YOU ARE

  • 10+ years within a similar role in a luxury Brand/Group, strong retail experience with a strategic understanding of the business
  • Retail business acumen
  • Persuasion skills, negotiation skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Fluency in English and Italian, French is a plus
  • Excellent Excell skills
