THE ROLEWe are on the lookout for an experienced Engineering Manager to guide crucial technical areas, such as Performance, Observability or teams within the Developer Productivity area. This high-impact role requires supervising several teams and leads, ensuring smooth project execution, and driving initiatives. Your leadership will be pivotal in our mission to deliver top-notch system performance, thorough observability, and effective productivity tools for our developers. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and supervise multiple teams and leads, setting clear expectations, providing mentorship and guidance, and fostering a culture of growth, continuous learning, and high performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for enhancing system performance, improving observability, and maximizing developer productivity through effective tools.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between our teams and the rest of the organization, ensuring that goals across your areas of oversight are aligned with broader company objectives.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our systems and developer productivity tools.
  • Engage with other managers, teams, and stakeholders to understand their needs and adapt your strategies to meet these requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and developer productivity, managing any issues or potential improvements in collaboration with relevant teams.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager, overseeing multiple teams and leads.
  • Comprehensive technical understanding and hands-on experience with system performance, observability, or developer productivity tools.
  • Proven passion for technology.
  • Strong roadmap management skills.
  • A growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and learning.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in creating and fostering a high-performing, blameless culture.
  • Experienced in working in large-scale organisations on a multinational level with a multicultural team.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies (Kanban or Scrum).
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
