CREATIVE OPERATIONSWe're a creative family, building copy, data and visual assets for each corner of the FARFETCH Ecommerce Platform. We are dedicated to providing gold standard imagery, content and production services for our partners and creating an engaging on-site experience for our customers.

THE ROLEThe role is responsible for the daily studio execution of the ecommerce creative vision for the FARFETCH marketplace. You will be part of a wider team of Art Directors, Concepting Art Directors, Styling Editors, Imagery Development Specialists and Producers, responsible for the customer experience and creative quality of our product visuals (model imagery, still life, post production and future content types).You will be part of a newly reformed team ensuring the e-commerce imagery output is consistently of the highest quality. You will advocate for newness, fresh thinking and provide creative solutions to the challenges and constraints of high scale ecommerce imagery production. Whether working on certain segments of the product catalogue or associated projects you will take ownership of deliverables and initiatives with attention to detail and a true sense of the FARFETCH brand.You will work daily as an integral part of our in-studio content creation support working with project management and planning to maintain strong alignment and a consistent creative vision. In addition, you will collaborate with UX Research teams, Consumer Product and Data Analytics to support your work with customer feedback and engagement data.The role requires an understanding of the importance of a clear brand message in all visual communication and the ability to combine this effectively with the best practices in website usability. Respecting the Farfetch visual brand guidelines, this role ensures that all Farfetch visual content and ecommerce projects are executed with these guidelines in mind to deliver a consistent message that is easily understood by the user.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Viewing ecommerce visuals as a whole, blending photography, styling, casting and post production to serve our customers’ needs and express our brand identity;
  • Overseeing daily shooting and signing off on imagery to ensure it meets creative standards whilst balancing productivity needs;
  • Host retrospectives for your area to review areas of improvement and drive for creative progression;
  • Driving the Creative process within our studios;
  • Understanding of best photography practices;
  • Engage, motivate, and support Creative feedback and alignment sessions being the Creative ambassador;
  • Providing improvement ideas and suggestions to ensure the imagery is always kept fresh and relevant
  • Whilst overseeing a catalogue segment/tier being flexible when required to suit business needs;
  • Work closely with the Concept Art Directors to ensure the overall website has cohesion translation, brainstorm and collaborate with all fellow Creative stakeholders;
  • Daily mentoring, coaching and developing of studio team members on best practices;
  • Supporting the Studio Art Directors when needed;
  • Training and on-boarding new team members;
  • Supporting guideline implementation;
  • Concept development, creative concept testing for ecommerce product visuals when required.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience working in an ecommerce environment as an associate/art director on both still life and model imagery;
  • A strong creative eye, with a highly-developed visual sense;
  • Ability to direct and support lighting feedback;
  • Confident and articulate when presenting ideas;
  • A strong communicator, able to brief others clearly on what is needed;
  • Strong Interest in editorial trends, graphic design, photography and innovation across web, magazines and retail with a strong emphasis on fashion;
  • Anticipating trends, and presenting proposals to make sure the design does not become stale;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong understanding of fashion/fashion brands.
