As our Technical Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our attraction’s daily operations. You will lead a high-performing technical team responsible for keeping everything running smoothly, safely, and at peak performance—from state-of-the-art rides and interactive exhibits to complex facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and automation).

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
🛠️ Technical Leadership & Operations
Drive Attraction Reliability: Oversee daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across all physical plant systems, facility equipment, rides, show elements, and themed attractions to minimize downtime and maximize guest enjoyment.
Master of All Trades: Serve as the go-to technical expert utilizing hands-on expertise in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Maintain and optimize our asset management system (Facilitree) to ensure all scheduled inspections, routine servicing, and preventative maintenance regimes are executed seamlessly.
Vendor & Specialist Management: Directly oversee third-party contractors and core product vendors (including Triotec and Simex) for major HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and custodial projects and preventative maintenance.
Facility Excellence: Ensure top-tier standards across building maintenance, lighting, wall repair, custodial oversight, and exhibit setup/takedown.
👥 Team Empowerment & People Leadership
Lead & Inspire: Manage, coach, and mentor a team of technicians to foster a culture that is safety-first, guest-obsessed, and committed to high performance.
Smart Scheduling: Manage the Duty Technician coverage schedule to ensure expert technical support is on site during all operating hours.
Develop & Recognize: Empower team members through structured training, performance reviews, skill development, and recognition/incentive programs.
🛡️ Safety, Compliance & Budgeting
Safety First Always: Maintain strict adherence to the Merlin Entertainments Health, Safety, and Security Policy, ensuring all statutory equipment inspections, risk assessments, and compliance standards are rigorously met.
Continuous Improvement: Manage operational action plans and operating budgets efficiently, executing solutions in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
What You Bring to the Team (Qualifications & Skills)
Experience: At least 2 + years of supervisory/management experience in a technical, industrial, or themed entertainment environment.
Diverse Technical Skills: Proven hands-on experience across multiple trades—including electrical/electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, HVAC, automation, or ride maintenance. Professional mechanical or electrical certifications are highly preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Technical College or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Systems Familiarity: Experience using computer-based maintenance management software (CMMS/Facilitree) to track work orders and preventative maintenance.
Leadership Style: A confident, approachable leader with infectious energy who knows how to coach a team, manage tight deadlines, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) to support peak attraction operations.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, climb, and work at heights of 20+ feet.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, occasionally around loud machinery, varying light levels, or seasonal temperatures.
Ability to obtain any required local trade licensures or certifications.
