Life Sciences Commercial Technology Senior Manager

Grade: Senior Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technology Consulting Senior Manager to join us in our Life Sciences Commercial Technology practice.

This role will focus on leveraging technology to enable data driven business transformation within the Life Sciences Commercial sector. We have an ambition to be leaders in the Veeva and Salesforce commercial sector so the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Veeva or Salesforce as well as other commercial technology solutions within the Life Sciences industry. This will be coupled with strong consulting and leadership skills to guide our clients through challenging and complex transformations.

Your Client Impact

  • Lead consulting engagements focused on commercial technology transformation for Life Sciences clients.
  • Define and implement strategies that align technology initiatives with business objectives and market trends.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding them through complex technology-enabled transformations.
  • Bring EY thought leadership and global best practices to help clients achieve commercial effectiveness and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring delivery of innovative solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Support change management initiatives to embed technology-driven culture across client organisations.
  • Contribute to solution development and oversee quality of proposals for technology-led transformation.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and diversity.

Essential Qualifications

  • STEM degree or equivalent certification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in technology consulting within the Life Sciences sector or from within the Life Sciences industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, or related sectors), with a strong understanding of the commercial landscape from both business and technology perspectives
  • Proven track record of managing engagement teams and client relationships.
  • Expertise in commercial transformation technologies, data analytics, and major CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce).
  • Ability to design operating models and organisational structures for technology functions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to Life Sciences.

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Stakeholder management skills, including facilitation and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate technical concepts into business language.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience with Big 4 or other consulting methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to develop external partnerships and alliances (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce, Adobe).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CRM platforms, data governance, automation tools).
