Senior Advisor, International Tax and Transaction Services – Financial Services

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor with an interest in investment funds to join our market-leading Financial Services International Tax and Transaction Services team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a high-profile global asset manager, supporting them on a range of advisory matters. While this will be your primary focus, there will also be an opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of clients and projects across the wider WAM portfolio.

You will advise on complex cross-border transactions, fund structuring, and restructurings, with the chance to deepen your understanding of international tax regimes and structuring techniques. This role offers exceptional career development opportunities within a supportive and dynamic team and will provide regular and direct contact with relevant personnel at the client across all levels of seniority.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality tax advice on a wide range of international advisory projects, including fund formation, reorganisations, and cross-border transactions.
  • Building and maintaining trusted client relationships through excellent client service.
  • Helping to manage and drive the successful delivery of engagements, ensuring technical excellence and commercial practicality.
  • Identifying opportunities to bring added value to clients, drawing on insights from prior work and internal knowledge-sharing.
  • Developing strong internal and external networks and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Coaching and supporting junior team members in their professional development.

To qualify for the role you, must have

  • Experience as a tax practitioner.
  • Professional qualifications such as ATT / ACA / CA / CTA, or equivalent breadth of knowledge (e.g., a legal qualification).
  • Experience advising financial services clients (preferable).
  • Exposure to cross-border transactions (preferable).
  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
