With nearly 3,000 experts across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, we partner with iconic businesses like Tesco, Coca-Cola, Meijer, Procter & Gamble and Metro to turn data into growth, innovation and measurable value for their customers.

Tech / Engineering

dunnhumby’s Technology and Engineering team builds the platforms, pipelines and systems that make customer data science possible at scale. From the data infrastructure that ingests billions of transactions to the APIs and cloud architecture that power our products, we engineer reliable, high-performance software trusted by the world’s leading retailers and brands.

We are seeking a Lead Engineer – Workplace Technology & Automation to act as an internal consultant across our function. This role will identify opportunities, shape solutions, and help teams implement practical improvements across workplace services, support processes, and platform operations. • Drive automation and AI adoption to reduce manual effort and enhance consistency.

  • Mature Copilot usage within the workplace environment, building custom agents and plugins for enterprise workflows.

  • Design and implement automation using scripting, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code.

  • Improve integration between Microsoft 365 and service platforms such as ServiceNow.

  • Act as an internal consultant, shaping ideas into workable solutions using agile practices.

  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure delivery aligns with internal standards.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years of strong expertise across the Microsoft stack: Microsoft 365, Copilot, Intune, Entra ID.

  • Proven experience designing or delivering automation solutions in enterprise environments.

  • Hands-on experience using AI to improve operational processes and support services.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell, APIs, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code.

  • Experience in agile delivery environments (user stories, backlog-driven delivery).

  • Ability to shape roadmaps and turn opportunities into practical, scalable plans.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Prior experience as a senior individual contributor, specialist, or internal consultant.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations with Microsoft 365 or workplace services.

  • Background in improving service desk or support workflows through automation.

  • Experience establishing standards or operating models for AI/automation services.

  • Relevant certifications: TOGAF, ScrumMaster, Microsoft SC-300 / MD-102 / AZ-500.

  • Exposure to Mac/Linux management environments.

You'll Thrive If You…

  • Enjoy solving complex technical problems with a pragmatic mindset.
  • Balance technical excellence with business impact and delivery outcomes.
  • Take ownership while helping others succeed.
  • Are motivated by working in a data-rich, technology-driven environment.
