About dunnhumby

dunnhumby is the global leader in Customer Data Science, helping the world's most ambitious retailers and brands put the customer at the heart of every decision. With nearly 3,000 experts across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, we partner with iconic businesses like Tesco, Coca-Cola, Meijer, Procter & Gamble and Metro to turn data into growth, innovation and measurable value for their customers.

Product

Our Product team owns the vision, strategy and roadmap for the dunnhumby platform — the data, science and software that powers retailers and brands around the world. We work at the intersection of customer data, AI, and commercial impact, building products that turn insight into measurable growth.

About the Role

We're looking for a Consumer Insights Consulting Manager to help shape the future of how retailers and consumer goods manufacturers collaborate. Joining our Tesco Category & Product Insight team, you'll work at the intersection of customer insight, category strategy and business transformation, helping drive meaningful value for Tesco and its supplier partners. This role combines deep FMCG expertise with strategic consulting and stakeholder engagement. You'll bring a strong understanding of retailer and manufacturer processes to help design better ways of working, identify growth opportunities and support transformation programmes focused on pricing, promotions and ranging.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll act as the voice of the manufacturer within strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring solutions create value for retailers, CPGs and customers alike.

  • Defining and championing best-in-class retailer and manufacturer collaboration models across key commercial processes.
  • Shaping future-state approaches to joint business planning, range reviews and promotion planning through insight-led recommendations.
  • Supporting strategic pricing, promotions and ranging workstreams within Tesco transformation programmes.
  • Identifying and developing new commercial opportunities that can create value for Tesco and supplier partners.
  • Partnering with client leadership and consulting teams to support business development, client engagement and strategic proposals.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in someone who combines commercial credibility, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of FMCG and retail operations.

  • Experience within a leading UK FMCG manufacturer environment.
  • Knowledge of commercial, national account management, sales, revenue growth management, strategy, planning or operational excellence functions.
  • Understanding of UK grocery planning processes, including joint business planning, promotion planning and range reviews.
  • Strong appreciation of pricing, promotions and ranging in both retailer and manufacturer settings.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and connect the priorities of retailers, manufacturers and customers.

You'll Thrive If You…

  • Enjoy solving complex commercial challenges through collaboration and insight.
  • Can translate operational inefficiencies into practical transformation opportunities.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through credibility, expertise and strong communication.
  • Are passionate about creating mutually beneficial outcomes for retailers, manufacturers and shoppers.
