Senior Technical Recruiter – DoorDash In Store (SevenRooms)

About DoorDash

At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly, learn, and reiterate in order to make impactful decisions that display empathy for our range of users—from Dashers to merchant partners to consumers. We are a technology and logistics company that started with door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known for delivering food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to help shape how we hire the engineers who design, build, and scale the SevenRooms product—from reservations and table management to online ordering and marketing automation.

In this role, you’ll report into Deliveroo’s Director of Engineering Recruitment while recruiting for DoorDash In-Store (SevenRooms) engineering teams, operating within a highly collaborative, cross-brand environment following DoorDash’s acquisition of both Deliveroo and SevenRooms.

You’ll lead hiring for some of our most critical engineering roles, partnering with technical leaders to design strategies that drive global growth. Your impact will stretch beyond individual hires, you’ll refine how we approach technical hiring, from building scalable sourcing frameworks to improving how we assess and engage talent across markets. As a trusted advisor to leadership, you’ll help ensure our team continues to attract and hire the engineers who make our ambitions possible.

What you’ll be doing:

Lead In-Store engineering hiring in the UK

Own end-to-end delivery for (senior to mid level) and highly technical roles (Principal, Staff, and Leadership-level Engineers to) across multiple engineering teams.

Design and run tailored hiring strategies that balance speed, quality, and diversity always keeping candidate experience front and centre.

Anticipate future hiring needs and build pipelines and relationships before demand hits.

Be a trusted advisor

Partner with senior engineering leadership to influence hiring decisions, shape role design, and plan for long-term team growth.

Use data and market insights to challenge, coach, and guide hiring managers.

Work closely with In-Store Engineering Leadership and cross-functional Recruiting Teams to make sure hiring outcomes align with business priorities.

Raise the bar on operations

Improve how we recruit: optimising processes, interview calibration, and data accuracy to help us scale.

Partner with TA Operations to test new tools and bring consistency to how we measure and report recruiting performance.

Mentor and support less-experienced recruiters, sharing best practices and helping them grow.

Use data to drive decisions

Turn market intelligence and metrics into actionable insights that inform strategy.

Partner with the People Analytics team to build dashboards and share meaningful recruiting data with senior stakeholders.

Champion diversity and inclusion

Embed inclusive hiring principles into every step from job design to sourcing and selection.

Lead DE&I initiatives within Engineering Recruiting and show the real impact through data and storytelling.

Deliver a standout experience

Make sure every candidate feels respected, informed, and excited about the opportunity.

Help hiring managers feel confident and supported throughout the process.

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of experience within technical recruitment including at least 4 years within a global tech company.

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end technical recruitment in a fast-moving, high-growth tech or product environment.

  • A strong track record hiring for senior & mid manager technical roles (Staff, Principal Engineers, Engineering Managers, or Technical Leaders).

  • Excellent sourcing and stakeholder management skills: you know how to attract, assess, and close exceptional talent in competitive markets.

  • Data fluency: you use dashboards and insights to guide decisions and influence outcomes.

  • Experience shaping hiring strategies and leading initiatives that improve process, equity, or candidate experience.

  • Confidence operating autonomously while influencing senior and executive stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, GSuite, and market insight tools
