Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Chinese Category team. We are the local market experts driving Deliveroo’s performance across the UKI. We focus on identifying the restaurants customers crave most and building the partnerships that define our regional proposition.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Identify and close partnerships: Map, prospect, and pitch to high-potential Chinese restaurants across the region to ensure we have the best local selection.
Drive end-to-end onboarding: Oversee the restaurant onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition onto the platform, prioritising speed and efficiency.
Ensure early-stage success: Actively manage the performance and integration of new partners within their first eight weeks to set them up for long-term growth.
Act as a brand ambassador: Attend food meet-ups and engage with the local restaurant community to demonstrate Deliveroo’s technology and value proposition.
Execute data-led growth: Use market insights to target the right partners and structure win-win commercial deals that benefit both the restaurant and Deliveroo.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Essential
Linguistic proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin is required to effectively engage with our partner base.
Commercial acumen: Proven ability to negotiate complex deals and a strong understanding of the economics of food delivery.
Results-driven mindset: A tenacious approach to meeting demanding targets and taking full ownership of your territory.
Communication skills: Significant experience in building relationships face-to-face, via phone, and through digital channels.
Mobility and Right to Work: A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across Birmingham and surrounding areas, and the right to work in the UK.
Nice to Have
