Job Description
Launch Manager
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.
We’re looking for a Launch Manager to join our North East team. In this role, you’ll be the business owner of growth in your territory, leading a team to deliver challenging goals and executing high-impact local marketing activity.
Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Regional UK & Ireland team, reporting to the Programme Lead, Regional Growth. You must be based in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, or Sunderland. While you will be connected to our Leeds office, you will spend the majority of your time (3–4 days per week) on the ground in your cities, acting as the primary driver of our local market performance.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Lead a High-Performance Team: Manage and coach a sales team of 9, providing the structure and direction needed to hit ambitious monthly targets.
Own Market Metrics: Act as the business owner for Growth KPIs and Consumer Value Proposition (CVP) metrics, identifying selection gaps versus the competition and building detailed plans to close them.
Drive Operational Excellence: Set clear priorities for Account Managers regarding signage, menu completeness, and rejection rates to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Execute Tactical Initiatives: Lead "guerrilla" marketing activations and tactical sprints to improve city-level metrics and brand visibility.
Maximise Marketing Potential: Identify key local partners for media opportunities and work closely with the central marketing team to ensure flawless execution in your area.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Proven Leadership: Demonstrable skills in leading direct reports or significant experience in coaching, mentoring, and project leadership.
Commercial Track Record: Significant experience in sales, strategy, or account management with a history of delivering outstanding commercial results.
Data Fluency: Comfortable using performance data to identify trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and drive local strategy.
Bias for Action: A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys working autonomously.
Regional Expertise: Deep local knowledge of the North East market and a willingness to be field-based the majority of the week.
