Your mission

As a Staff Software Engineer in the Core Engineering team, you’ll work on making ​LLM Applications scalable and accessible for users all around the world.
You’ll improve our open-source Python framework, Haystack, to make it more developer-friendly, extend its functionality, improve the scalability, and interact with our vibrant open-source community.
On top, you’ll work closely with our platform team on building "deepset cloud" - a SaaS platform for ​enterprise ​teams to build, deploy and operate LLM applications.

Your impact

• Conceptualize & implement new features for our open-source framework Haystack
• Improve & shape the software architecture of Haystack
• Interact with our Community
• Work closely with our ML Engineers on integrating new ML models to improve search & information access in a scalable way

Your profile

• 8+ years experience, having worked in a related field, and having previous interaction with open-source communities
• Crazy ambition to learn and "hungry”, with the ability to dive deep into new tech & complex projects without getting lost
• Pragmatism, sense of responsibility and independent work style, with willingness to contribute to the development of colleagues
• Excellent software engineering skills (preferably in Python language)
• Experience with vector databases, cloud providers, containers and REST APIs are nice to have
