Your mission

We are a team deeply passionate about natural language processing (NLP). Throughout the recent years, we have been dedicated to assisting numerous individuals in adopting and mastering cutting-edge technologies for processing and querying unstructured text data.
At the core of our efforts lies our flagship product, Haystack, an open source LLM framework designed for creating powerful, production-ready applications. Our ultimate aim is to establish Haystack as the go-to standard for practical LLM applications.
As a Senior NLP Engineer at deepset, you’ll play a fundamental part in establishing Haystack as a recognized authority in the LLM space.
You’ll focus not just on the code, but also contribute with documentation, write integrations, tutorials and LLM use cases.

Your impact

• Design new components and deliver new features for Haystack by observing and possibly anticipating trends in the LLM space.
• Collaborate cross functionally with different teams at deepset to get insights and provide inputs.
• Manage Github issues, taking ownership of the process from triaging to resolution.
• Participate in the Community, interacting with Haystack users through different channels: Github, Discord, social media.
• Translate latest research methods into a great user experience in Haystack so that thousands of devs around the world can leverage them in their work.

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience working as a NLP Engineer, with excellent Python skills.
• Previous experience with any layer of the Generative AI tech stack: applications, models, data, evaluation, deployment.
• You are an excellent communicator, willing to interact with the community through meet-ups and different media.
• If you are an Open Source enthusiast and you already contributed to an OSS project this will be considered a big plus.
