Your mission

We're building a world-class, scalable SaaS business, ready for our future growth. As the Director of Finance at deepset, you’ll work closely with our Management Team, especially the Head of Operations and the CEO.

You’ll shape the Finance function in collaboration with the Operations team, contributing to the professionalization of our finance processes, as well as key strategic initiatives.

Your impact

• You will work closely with the C-level, and ensure compliance with accounting standards across Germany and the US
• Identify and design new Finance and Operations processes from scratch, and set up clear metric-based operating budgets, financial projections, or commission schemes
• Own our financial model and projections and shape our financial planning and strategy
• Create financial and operational reporting systems, including business performance, financial results, and variance analyses
• Coordinate the set up of a legal entity in the US, including set up of key processes
• Manage external partners, such as accounting firms and lawyers
• Be involved in investment processes and investor relations, and administrate employees’ stock option plan, and cap table
• Drive key strategic initiatives, create transparency, and enable data-driven reporting for the entire business
• Act as the finance expert, to consult and guide the leadership team on shaping the finance function within deepset

Your profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or comparable field of studies, with 7+ years of industry experience, ideally with experience in Germany and the US markets
• Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and flexibility to adjust to new contexts and changes
• Previous experience in a startup environment is desirable
• Experience with setting up and reinforcing financial processes and infrastructure
• Experience with fundraising and investor relationship
• Experience with partnering with departments (i.e. Sales) to set the right KPIs, Commission plans, and dashboards
• Experience with finance operations and accounting in the United States and Germany
