Job Description

People Operations Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and creative People Operations generalist to help build and grow our business. As a generalist, you will take ownership of all elements of the employee lifecycle from induction, compensation and people development, to managing complex ER cases and organisational design. You will manage a small team with a pre-prepared roadmap aligned to business objectives for FY24.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of commercial awareness and best practice that enables them to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Your approach should be flexible and you will be able to deliver pragmatic, business focused solutions where you are encouraged to provide ideas to improve and see them through to implementation.

A few activities you'd perform as a People Operations Lead include:

  • Managing the People Ops budget and spend on engagement, tooling and events. Sense-checking our processes, ensuring that we’re leading in the market, getting the most out of our tools and reviewing return on investment.
  • Supporting the team to advise and deliver on organisational change and ER cases whilst taking change management best practices into consideration, taking a commercially minded approach to complex ER cases.
  • supporting the People Ops team in their career development and knowledge development, delegating and offering insight and opportunities to learn and push themselves.

What you’d bring

Skills:

  • Strong track record of managing, influencing and motivating others across the organisation
  • Drive and ability to hit targets, identifying blockers early and cutting through problems
  • Demonstrable up-to-date working knowledge of current employment legislation, policies, practices and procedures and the impact on best recruitment and induction practices
  • An excellent communicator with a commercial outlook, able to interact with the stakeholders of the business and candidates.

Location and flexibility

When it comes to your working location, we’d leave it to you to decide what works best. You can live anywhere in the UK or the Netherlands and work completely remotely if you would prefer.

If you live near any of our offices in Utrecht, Manchester, Edinburgh or London, you can of course also choose to work from the office as often as you want. We may ask you to travel occasionally to one of our offices (or a customer site) for specific meetings or team building/social events.
