Our Gas Spot Trading team in Aalborg is looking for a Trading Student Assistant to join our team and help us to maximize the value of all opportunities in which Centrica Energy Trading can proprietarily trade in gas markets.

We are currently looking for a Student Assistant who will assist senior managers as well as other team members in the day-to-day activities. This role provides deep insights to the engine room of trading and trade support in a leading company in the European energy market. The tasks will cover a wide range of activities and would include organization of meetings, participation in the hiring process, coordinating events, shifts and participate in project work together with traders, portfolio managers and stakeholders.

We will depend on you to contribute to the development of the job role and the improvement of our services, thus you will have great possibilities of influence on the job and you will learn how to efficiently drive and manage projects independently. You will grow over time and learn how to approach complex problem solving while under pressure, strengthen your communication skills and gain a solid network across company functions. Finally, the boundaries of the position are individually defined, and you will decide what specialization we should add to your professional profile.

The workload for a Student Assistant is typically 2-3 days per week, with shift durations being around eight hours. The job potentially holds day shift coverage. Flexibility is provided in exam periods. If you live in Aarhus, Centrica has a student employee car driving from Aarhus C. to Aalborg and back every day.
