The Senior Workplace Manager is a newly created role, responsible for helping make Centrica one of the best places to work. More specifically, the Senior Workplace Manager will ensure Centrica estates portfolio not only meets hygiene needs but is increasingly an environment to enable colleagues to perform at their best, and to ultimately support commercial outcomes.
You will ensure Centrica work places are safe and well functioning, with the delivery of facilities and catering provision managed through our partners. You will also contribute to the design and delivery of our future workplace and enable that to be translated into a plan for delivery across the next 3-5 years. You will collaboratively work with the People and Property Functions, to enable seamless delivery of services and experience activity in year and holding partners to account for their contribution in line with SLA’s.

Location: UK Flexible with regular travel as required

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment
Accountabilities
Establish and maintain credible and effective relationships with key stakeholders across the breadth of the role, ensuring alignment ok key activities to the workplace plan and site strategy
This will be highly project driven with the person being responsible for a portfolio of Centrica Workplaces
Responsible for the delivery office renovations, relocations, and future space planning within the protfolio
Be able to hold contractors and suppliers to account for delivery against service level agreements and contracts, ensuring value for money, rigorous measurement and benchmarking
Deliver the inspection testing and service schedule to meet our regulatory requirements for electrical and heating installations, water systems and fire prevention
Ensure effective measure are in place should a safety, fire or security incident occur to ensure the safety and wellbeing of colleagues and visitors to our premises
Tasked with elevating the employee experience through the working environment, and in collaboration with Centre’s of Excellence
Deliver a workplace proposition that focuses on customer and colleague experience, brings to life the Centrica brand when coming into the office, creates optimal utilisation and return on investment
By Workplace we deliver a broad proposition for all workplaces including physical sites and those working from home and continues to evolve our flexible first approach
Network externally to bring in best practice and leading edge thinking to ensure team remains relevant and highly skilled
Work Experience
A proven track record of delivering workplace enhancements that are best in class
Can demonstrate the ability to lead on key projects and operate collaboratively across functions
A demonstrable track record of creating and translating business requirements into clear, actionable goals and delivering excellent results and outcomes including enhancing the experience of the people within Centrica
Experience of inspiring, coaching and building cohesive teams within a corporate environment to deliver exceptional results
Solid commercial acumen evidenced through achievements, with the ability to make confident decisions to achieve results
Have experience in the estates / facilities management industry with the ability to bring innovations to the function

Results orientated, highly tenacious and pragmatic, with significant determination and able to demonstrate a balance of assurance and personal humility
Commercial acumen and broad business understanding
Relationship driven and can work with multiple contractors through building projects
