An opportunity to play your part - As Centrica’s SAP Technical Lead for Platform & Integrations, you’ll take charge of designing and delivering essential cross-platform services, including integration, identity and authorisation, monitoring, automation, and transport/release orchestration (ChaRM). This role ensures that supply chain platform services are standardised and scalable, supporting efficient and stable operations throughout Centrica’s Supply Chain SAP landscape. Working closely with functional leads, our implementation partner, the central integrations team, and other technology teams, you embed best practices and drive faster delivery cycles. All this within an agile, product-led environment that thrives on automation, innovative data and AI-driven insights, and a culture of ongoing improvement, ensuring every solution is not just resilient and auditable, but delivers real, measurable business value.

Location: UK-based hybrid role, Occasional travel to site.

The Day to Day:

• You will manage and standardise supply chain platform integrations, ensuring adherence to Centrica patterns and best practices, through collaboration with central integrations and architecture teams.
• You will ensure robust integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems, including warehouse automation and logistics providers, standardising data exchange, error handling, and supporting MDG/DMS enablement.
• You will plan and deliver platform features, maintain roadmaps and reusable assets, and oversee SIT/UAT and environment strategy.
• You will set standards for reliability, performance, and security, driving observability and SRE for SAP workloads.
• You will enforce security, privacy, auditability, and segregation of duties.
• You will track value delivered, including faster cycles, fewer incidents, improved recovery, reduced costs, and greater reuse

What we need from you:

• Extensive experience working with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Integration Suite (CPI). Additionally, strong knowledge of SAP Security and Authorizations, as well as familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, or ChaRM.
• Proven track record of enabling continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) for SAP changes, supporting automated testing processes, defining non-functional requirements (NFRs), and driving improvements in system observability.
• Experience in monitoring utilising SAP standard tools and enterprise application performance monitoring (APM) solutions. The role also requires skills in alerting, incident response, and performance tuning at scale to ensure system reliability.
• Able to leverage AI-assisted analysis and diagnostics to enhance both speed and quality, while ensuring appropriate human judgement and ownership are maintained throughout processes.
