Process Improvement & Automation Analyst

An opportunity to play your part...

This role within the Group Business Services Process, Risk & Controls Team is responsible for undertaking process improvement and automation activities across GBS and the functions it supports (currently HR, Procurement & Finance). The role will draw on industry standard, best practice methodologies to analyse and improve existing processes whilst leveraging easily accessible technologies such as Microsoft Office 365 and the Power Platform to build solutions to support these.

  • Location: Leeds, Leicester or Windsor, UK with travel as required

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement and automation opportunities and develop custom Power Platform solutions to streamline business processes

  • Execution of activities to support the GBS strategy for Process Improvement and Automation

  • Provision of coordination and support activities to facilitate the effective governance of automated solutions

  • Communicate and translate process automation requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Development of Power Apps solutions using Power Automate and Power BI for automation and analytics

  • Design solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing across the organisation

Skills & Experience

  • Good knowledge and experience working in a systems, process, or operational compliance environment

  • Previous experience in SQL desirable

  • Experience working in a process improvement environment

  • Understanding of Microsoft applications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and other related technologies.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills

  • Experience managing governance requirements and activities

Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage with others

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Possess good creative skills and make suggestions for improvement

  • Must be able to work under pressure and to constantly changing deadlines

  • Must be pro-active and self-motivated

  • Experience of organising and facilitating meetings and resenting to senior stakeholders
